I have the Samsung S22+.

I noticed notifications will not come through sometimes until I unlock the phone which causes them to be delayed.

I turned off adaptive battery and the apps in question have unrestricted background data + optimization is set to unrestricted.

I tried using the always on display for new notifications but even that is delayed when the phone screen is off for a while.

I tried searching for a way to fix this error but everything I've found I've already done and it doesn't help.

Does anyone know how to fix delayed notifications until the screen is unlocked?

Do you have do not disturbed turned on or scheduled to turn on? Also check for airplane mode.

Hi, We suggest you to perform Wipe Cache Partition and write back to us if the issue still persists. Please try performing the wipe cache partition by following the instruction below and check if the issue got resolved. Turn off the device. Press and hold the Volume Up key and the Power key. When the Android logo displays, release both keys. An 'Installing system update' message may show briefly before the Android Recovery menu options appear. Press the Volume down key several times to highlight "Wipe cache partition". Press Power key to select. Press the Volume down key to highlight Yes, then press the Power key to select. When the process is complete, Reboot system now is highlighted. Press the Power key to restart the device

This didn't seem to help. When the phone screen is off for a while the notifications are delayed like the phone is asleep until I unlock the phone. Once unlocked all the notifications pop up. I want them to come in real time.

Check under Bixby Routines that you don't have a Routines activated that is not disturbing you with messages

It shows I have no routines. It says "No Routines" "add routines to makes your life easier"

This has been a problem on every galaxy I've owned.  Text messages seem ok but other app notifications get delayed such as notification from MyQ when my garage door closes.  DnD is not on, wiping cache is not a solution and I'm now using a new s22 that has the same problem as my s9.

Surely samsung should know how to send timely notifications.  I never had this issue with any iPhone I've ever owned.
