Galaxy S
Hey everyone!
Been having some issues with Smart Lock recently. For a while, 'Trusted Locations' wasn't functioning properly in the sense that it would ask for my fingerprint or PIN regardless of whether I was in the vicinity of a trusted location.
Restarting my phone did not help, resetting play services seemed to fix it temporarily, but seemingly ended up screwing up several other phone features, including the occasional inability to dial out or receive MMS. The original problem also quickly came back, so I'm writing that one off as a failure.
However recently, my phone remained COMPLETELY unlocked regardless of where I am, with trusted locations on! I could be miles away from the nearest set location but my phone just asks me to swipe to unlock. This is incredibly frustrating as it's a key feature that I use very often when at home or work. The other issues I'm having (dialing and MMS) are equally frustrating, since they seem to require a reboot to fix. My phone is generally a lot slower than it was a few weeks ago, with regular chokes when typing or switching apps. No major changes to installed apps or storage space, so I really don't have any explanations.
Are there any suggestions you guys would have aside from a complete wipe and reinstall? A friend with the same OS build on the same network has been having similar issues with dialing out, so I'm starting to think it wasn't caused by the play services reinstall.
Thanks so much,
Julian
