Why can I no longer see more then 3 notifications on the status bar or lock screen?

Please revert this change, or give us the option to have more than 3.

Yea I made a video about that change on YT a while back which has a decent amount of views now because it seems like the first thing most people can't stand of all the changes.

I have to agree with you! At least the pulldown had an option though, that's all I'm really asking for.

Hi Larkstarr,

Thank you for your feedback. With One UI 7, the display of notifications on the status bar and lock screen has been limited to a maximum of 3 icons for a cleaner look. We’ll forward your request to our development team for consideration in future updates.

Your input is important to us, and we appreciate you taking the time to share it.

Hi Helenna, thank you for your response.

With all due respect, what you/Samsung call a cleaner look, I call wasted space.

Furthermore, in the previous One UI versions, we had a *choice* to limit notifications for a cleaner look. This is what Android is all about. This is what Samsung is all about via Good Lock. Forcing this design choice on us in One UI 7 under the guise of a cleaner look when everybody knowsow that creating the option is possible both insulting to your consumer, and is not a good look for Samsung. I might as well buy an iPhone if I wanted a design choice forced on me.

Helenna, I appreciate your efforts to forward this to the development team. However, there are plenty of people on Reddit and plenty of YouTube videos that have people confused and upset with this change. I'm wondering if there is more we can do to convince the development team to give us the option for more notifications. Are we able to contact the development team directly? Could I contact anyone in charge of that team, anybody that could enact this change? This ridiculously silly change really needs to be shouted from the rooftops and I believe I speak for many people when I say we need a Samsung to hear this loud and clear.

Thank you again, -Lark

Removing user options is a terrible idea. This change has negatively impacted my work routine and needs to be addressed. If the notification and quick settings option to return to normal was not available on One UI 7, I'd have promptly exchanged my phone. Please forward this feedback.

Stop copying iPhones.
