In persian (Farsi) keyboard, the letter ى has a huge problem. When connected to another letter, this letter should change its form from ى to یـ but this is not happening correctly, which is extremely annoying.

Does anyone has the same problem?

It is fixed in the latest update. Click any where to bring up the keyboard, on the top right corner click on the wheel icon (setting). it opens the Samsung keyboard setting, go to "about samsung keyboard" click on update. It will take you to galaxy store, click update. Done. ی works fine. There is only one ث and ص is in its place. This is for S20, Extended qwerty persian samsung keyboard.

The issue you've described with the Persian /Farsi keyboard, where the letter "ى" is not changing its form correctly when connected to another letter, is likely due to font or text rendering settings rather than the keyboard layout itself. In Persian script, the letter "ى" (U+06CC) should indeed change its form to "یـ" when it is connected to another letter. This ligature behavior is typically controlled by the font and the text rendering engine.

Here are some steps you can take to address this issue:

  1. Check Font and Rendering Settings: Ensure that you are using a font that supports Persian ligatures correctly. Some fonts may not display ligatures as expected. You can change the font settings in your text editor or system settings.

  2. Choose a Persian-Optimized Font: Consider using fonts specifically designed for Persian script, as they are more likely to handle ligatures correctly. Examples of such fonts include "Tahoma," "IranNastaliq," or "Sahel."

  3. Adjust Text Rendering Settings: In some cases, adjusting text rendering settings in your operating system can help resolve ligature issues. Check the text rendering settings in your system's control panel or settings menu.

  4. Update Software: Ensure that your operating system, text editor, and applications are up-to-date. Sometimes, ligature-related bugs are fixed in software updates.

  5. Use a Different Text Editor: If the issue persists in one text editor or application, try using a different one to see if the problem is specific to that software.

  6. Check Language and Keyboard Settings: Verify that your language and keyboard settings are correctly set to Persian (Farsi) in your operating system.

  7. Consult the Font Provider: If you are using a specific font that continues to display ligatures incorrectly, you can contact the font provider or developer for support or updates related to Persian script rendering.

  8. Community Support: You might find online communities or forums where users discuss and troubleshoot font and ligature issues in Persian (Farsi) script. They could offer specific advice based on their experiences.

It's worth noting that ligature behavior can vary depending on the font and text rendering engine used, so experimenting with different fonts and settings may help you find a solution that displays Persian script correctly with ligatures.
