I know I'm not alone in this because many of the people I know who have Samsung phones are experiencing the same problem. It essentially is a collection of pinkish purpleish lines going across the centre of the screen. However if you press the top of the screen where the lines start they disappear for second. The general consensus is if you drop your phone or not it will appear after a couple years of use. Not sure if its planned obsolescence. I plan to get a quote for fixing it, realistically thou it'll probably be cheaper to spend the extra cash and get a new phone. I loved my Samsung but I think it may be time to switch to iPhone.

Yeah I'm quite sure that iPhones have their own problems - At least Samsung didn't deliberately slow down their phones like Apple did....

Thats true, however Apple did offer some form of support to consumers affected by that issue.

I think that it doesn't make sense as like other people on here we have old galaxy phones and I for one have not had any issues with a pink/purple lines ...
Good luck with the iPhone . a step back for sure.

Meh, I guess Ill take my chances. im not here to fuel any phone wars or to become an elitist of any brand. Like ive said, I enjoyed my time using both phones. I just think at this point in time the durability/build quality of the iPhone was better. Id also like to mention that I still havent heard if this problem has been fixed for future models. I dont think I can justify buying another Samsung phone out right with the uncertianty of knowing if this same problem may affect me again. Especially since ive seen this problem across different models.

Do you get a new phone every year lol? Just based on the info I have, Id guess my problem comes from phones with SuperAmoled screens but I have no real proof.
