Galaxy SHi, Welcome to the Samsung Members Community Canada. Please perform the below steps and get back to us with the results.
Perform clear cache on your phone for both apps. To clear cache, go to Settings, swipe to, and touch Apps. Swipe to and touch the app you want. Touch Storage, and then touch Clear cache and restart the device.

Galaxy Si tried what you suggested both times but this still won't show music. When I tried the first method it worked for a second but then it would go into a grey screen then it would just disappear in a span of a second. I then tried the second method now it won't even show that... Any other tips I can try??

Galaxy SIt sounds like a bug with Android 12 affecting the lock screen and AOD display for music apps. In the meantime, you can try using a third-party music player or widget to fix this issue. If you're into fine-tuning the music experience, tools like bpm tap can help you find the tempo of the music you're playing, even if it’s not showing on the lock screen, so you can still keep track of the rhythm!
