Galaxy SI have a S24 - not the ultra but do have the S25 ultra and I have not seen any screen protectors installed on any of the devices I have bought so suggest you take whatever is on your device - off and see if it helps.
If you think it is possibly caused from the update you should boot into recovery and wipe the cache and see if that helps
Pretty sure it is not a hardware defect

Galaxy SHi Vladon,
We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with your Galaxy S24 Ultra. We understand how frustrating this issue must be for you.
Since you have already tried performing wiping the cache partition, but still the issue persists, please try the below potential solutions and see if they might help to fix the issue.
Restart Your Device. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve unexpected glitches.
Safe Mode: Boot your phone into Safe Mode (Press and hold the Power button, then long-press "Power off" and select Safe Mode). This disables third-party apps. If the problem doesn't occur in Safe Mode, it might be an app causing the issue.
Even if the protector came with the device, try removing it temporarily to rule out any possibility of phantom touches caused by improper installation or sensitivity issues. Please try removing it temporarily to see if it resolves the issue.
If none of the above steps work, please back up your data and perform a factory reset. This can resolve more persistent software issues.

Galaxy SHi,
I'm experiencing the very same on the same phone but older model (galaxy ultra s20) and I'm pretty sure it's a bug. This didn't start to happen until a recent update but it's been at least a couple of months and a couple of update since and it does not appear to be resolved. It happens when I start an app, while in the middle of typing and appears to be totally random. Super frustrating. I do not have a screen protector btw.

Galaxy Salso have this issue, but for me it seems to only happen randomly in the evening. not a work phone, so no random work security software. have a screen protector but have had this since launch of the phone last year and it only started happening fairly recently. seems to be around the time of the oneui 7 Android 15 update.
