I want to use the Auto Hotspot feature theough my Samsung galaxy s9+ to my laptop. As I use my laptop most oftenly, I want my laptop to connect automatically with my phone's internet whenever I turn it on which is possible via Auto Hotspot. Did anyone tried it before?
The Auto Hotspot is for family members to join your hotspot automatically. In your case, you can do this easily as I connect my laptop to hotspot when working onsite.
Turn on mobile hotspot and tethering. Search the phone SSID on Windows. Once find it, check the box "Connect automatically" below. Then connect your laptop using provided SSID and passcode on your laptop wireless.
So, in the future, every time you enable the hotspot, your laptop will connect automatically. This is how I setup for my laptop when no internet onsite.
That suggestion is not for the original question, auto hotspot is a feature where if logged in a the main samsung account or family account can gain access to the hotspot without having to manually go in an turn the hotspot on
I have never used hotspot on my note5, but I have used tethering feature on iPhone. This is a US phone with T-Mobile hotspot app. Will it work on Chatr wireless? I don't want to send any data to T-Mobile; it's nothing but an adware. 😣
