Samsung, can you PLEASE allow us to remove the damn quick reply functionality from Edge Lighting??

It doesn't make sense that we can't turn it off!!!!

It's really annoying when my phone automatically sends a damn message saying "Sorry, I can't talk right now. Call back later." from my pocket even after one ring.

What's even more annoying is the fact it sends the message to homelines too.

I just want to be able to set Edge Lighting to Always but set the Quick Reply within it to OFF.

Smart Alert is already off and has nothing to do with it. This feature is buried inside Edge Lighting on the S9, as the post says...

Yeah I've never had anything reply automatically on any phone - unless I was the one who made the reply....

I've had it many times do it in my pocket and it sends a quick reply to the person by text automatically. Not sure if you even have the feature enabled or not but it does and I've seen other people comment on that too. You can't disable the Quick Reply within Edge Lighting and that's a problem.

Have you tried going to the Dialer Settings (3 dot menu top right) and check to see there is a "quick reply" message there - If there is - Delete it..
Also in Dialer Settings - Answering & Ending Calls - Make sure that it's off.

I'm not sure at this point if you're trolling or not.
Answer & Ending calls options are all set to off.
What I am referring to is inside EDGE LIGHTING press the 3 dot menu top right, you will see Quick Reply in there. That is the setting that cannot be disabled as long as Edge Lighting is enabled. I want to leave Edge Lighting set to Always On but the quick reply within to Always Off.

Yeah I'm not trolling lol - I'm just saying that I can't duplicate what you are seeing with your phone - Not happening on my S7 - S8+ or S9+.
So I was looking to see where it could be getting triggered from - There's more than one place in the device's settings that can be responsible for a change in the settings.. And yes I know where the setting in Edge Lighting is.. d6f07cd1-0a09-42fc-a065-fd21f6bc8c30.jpg

You have it. It's right in there in Quick Reply, it has no ON/OFF slider.
