I have an S20 FE 5G, my first galaxy. One UI 4.0 came significantly later in Canada than than US. Is it possible to install an international firmware? I love getting updates as soon as they come out.
As a side note, is it possible to install custom ROMs in samsung phones? ROMs like LineageOS, Corvus, etc.
You can only Flash Custom Firmware (Roms) if the device has an Unlocked Bootloader.
Although I believe that all of the S20 FE devices have the same Snapdragon Chip, AFAIK the Bootloader is indeed LOCKED in North America, So no you wouldn't be able to Flash any Custom Roms, or even the International Stock Samsung Firmware, although we can Flash the US Firmware on the Canadian S & Note devices since the S8 & previous versions of the Note devices as well.
I don't know if there's any other hardware differences between the Not American S20 FE & the European / International versions.
