Hello, my whole screen flashes for a very short period of time after unlocking the phone with the fingerprint scanner. I don't mean the fingerprint sensor area, I mean the whole screen. It happens about once every 5 unlocks. It doesnt happen when I unlock while the lock screen is on. It happens when I unlock through AOD. Could you fix this issue? It is really harmful for our eyes especially during night and it might cause problems for epileptic people. I made a bug report through the Samsung Members app.

It's possible that it may be a 3rd party app, if this is something new / recent?

It could also be an issue with AOD settings, or AOD itself.

You could try Booting into Safe Mode & see if it continues..

I tried it in the safe mode, also disabled AOD but didn't fix the problem.

The only other thing that I can think of, would be to backup your phone with Smart Switch, & Factory Reset..A Factory Reset can often fix software related problems, but if that doesn't fix the issue, it could be a hardware issue.. in which case visit a Samsung Service center.

Hi empire999, As you have tried to reboot your system in safe mode. I suggest you to perform back up and reset.

Note: Your Galaxy phone must be connected to a Samsung account to use Samsung Cloud.

To back up your data: From Settings, navigate to and tap Accounts and backup. Tap Back up data under "Samsung Cloud". On the next screen, select the content you want to back up, or simply tap Select all. When you are ready, tap Back up at the bottom of the screen. Tap Done when it is finished syncing.

Note: For more information, tap the More Options icon (the 3 vertical dots), and then tap More information. To Restore your data: Note: Your Galaxy phone must be connected to a Samsung account to use Samsung Cloud. From Settings, navigate to and tap Accounts and backup.

Tap Restore data under "Samsung Cloud". On the next screen, select your desired device (at the top of the screen), and then select the content you want to restore.

Next, tap Restore at the bottom of the screen.

Please write back to us with the results. Thank you for the response, RedDogRabbbit.

I have the same problem here in Brazil. I bought it from an official dealer, they said it was a feature and not a defect. This problem happens on both Android 11 and Android 12. Even if I adjust the brightness to minimum at night, this flash happens at maximum intensity and damages my vision. I have a g780g/ds.

If you have a different device, maybe you could post a short video of what happens?

You could also try the other suggestions above.
