This appears as a notification each time I start the phone.

Due to Oculus ending its technical support, the Gear VR service is no longer available for One UI 4. Please remove the Gear VR apps.

If I tap the notification, the following appears:

Due to Oculus ending its technical support, the Gear VR service is no longer available for One UI 4.
Click the button below and follow the instructions to remove the Gear VR apps installed on your device.
Thank you for using Gear VR

I am unable to find any Gear VR apps or services.  I'm not about to click buttons just because a notification says to.

Where can I find further information about this?

Best Regards,

I received the same message after (yet another) system update on S10 plus. When I uninstalled the gear vr app it also uninstalled face book. So I reinstalled fb and all was fine until this morning when the box popped back up saying to uninstall the gear vr thing again. **bleep**? I'm REALLY over all these stupid updates. My husband has an older Samsung and only gets maybe 2 requests per year (well, more like demands) for updates. I HAVE to update every few months!

I think that most people, actually appreciate frequent updates. I know that I do, it shows that the app Devs care about their work.

I have a similar issue, however I AM able to Uninstaller Gear VR. Once that Uninstall is complete, Facebook Messenger is no longer installed on my phone. So I go to the play store, install Facebook Messenger, and go about my day. The next day, it once again tells me I need to Uninstall Gear VR. I once again am allowed to "uninstall gear VR", and once again, it Uninstalls Facebook messenger. This continues daily. I now just ignore the warning that I need to Uninstaller gear VR, but sure would like to find a solution so that it doesn't tell me every day that I need to Uninstall it.

I so know how you feel. I see this message everyday and tap the button below and the so called instructions disappear. No one has been able to answer this dilemma as of now.....

I've even tried google for answers to no avail. I have no computer savy and I'm not  hoping to play delete guessing games with my apps and risk my phones performance.  It's operating just fine since last auto update to Android 12.
