I bought a tripod that came with a bluetooth shutter remote for the camera, but I can't make it work!
I can pair the remote to my phone, but it says that it needs an app to use it and doesn't work woth the camera app!

That's really dissapointing as it seems to work with every other phone I've seen online! :(

Am I missing something in the settings or did they make it impossible to use a shutter remote to make us buy the S pen? -_-

It's hard to say with third party tripods.

I bought one too and it works but it's a bit glitchy. What I had noticed was that everytime I paired the remote to my phone, I needed to close the camera app completely and re-open it for the remote to actually work.

Hi Kiwiwiggly, did you try using it on other devices? Also, could you confirm the place of purchase and if it is a third-party tripod?

I'm going to try with another phone today but so far I tried with the S21 ultra that my boyfriend has and it didn't work either

It is a 3rd party tripod but online it seems to work with every brand like iphones or any other phones but I can't make it work with my S21 ultra. The brand is bower

Is the brand website doesn't talk about downloading another app to make it work but when I pair it with the Bluetooth on the phone I see a quick message that disappears right away that says to work it's gonna need another app

@kiwiwiggly I had the same issue and figured it out on my own. Go into your phone's camera settings, scroll down to take burst shot and deselect that and select gif instead and your remote should work fine if it's bluetoothed to your phone.
