So I just noticed my phone seems to wake up at random. I would leave it on a desk or something and would notice the screen wake up once in a while

It didnt bug me at first but considering battery life isnt what I expected on the phone I went into it a little deeper in case this issue may actually be contributing to the battery issue

I followed the instructions from here

https://www.samsung.com/au/support/mobile-devices/galaxy-screen-waking-up/

and I followed all the steps. At one point it says if issues remain to install Good Catch app

https://galaxystore.samsung.com/detail/com.samsung.android.app.goodcatch?session_id=W_9a5de35720303b...

So I did and seems the power key is somehow triggering the screen even if i'm not touching the power key

I made sure there is no phone case or something pressing on the key and issue remains

Considering this seems to occur at random and in some cases only minutes apart i'm sure this wont help in terms of battery life. From the logs it happens at night while im sleeping as well

Anyone else having similar issues?

Hi LaughingMan, Il may happen because of "Lift to wake option " .If it is enabled, your phone’s screen will turn on when you pick up your phone. To disable this, navigate to Settings and then tap Advanced features. Tap Motions and gestures, and then tap the switch next to "Lift to wake" to turn it off.

If your problem will be presist after doing this. Please perfome the safe mode,It may be because of Some third-party apps.Safe mode prevents third-party apps from running.

To enter Safe Mode, please perform the following:

1.First, completely power off the phone.

2.Then, power on the phone and when the Samsung logo appears, press and hold down the Volume down key.

3.If done correctly, "Safe Mode" will display on the bottom left corner of the screen. If "Safe Mode" does not appear, repeat the steps above.

4.Once you are in Safe Mode, you can remove the third-party app that is causing issues on your phone.

5.To exit Safe Mode, simply restart your phone and it will reboot normally.
