It looks like the "paste from clipboard" in "Generative Edit" doesn't support the main clipboard but only images copied to clipboard directly from within Generative Edit. Being able to paste ANY clipboard item (including from the clipboard history history) would be very useful (suggestion).
Note that Generative Edit places a small watermark (AI stars) in lower left corner of the generated image as Samsung documents:
