Inconsistent location services - I'm thrown all over yo different places in googlec search
Can't check or update Firmware
Unable to see if phone rooted
Bluetooth turned on - i keep it off
Notifications on critical apps turned off
Device reports never restarted - although says updates complete.
Latest security patch Oct 1st 2024 Although I did two recent updates that included patches
Sites inconsistent in report no internet although connected and location permissions all on and site says no location idrntified
Apps to help keep phone safe permissions denied that I allowed.

It's a constant battle and I'm being presented from using my device.

Factory Rest Keeps info on phone so it's not helpful.

Please advise and real solutions pls as I've no appetite to be grilled on. I need support as my device is compromised.

Hi MyDeviceHackedHelpMe,

Sorry to hear that you’re dealing with some serious issues that may indicate your device is compromised or encountering major system errors. Please try the below steps to help troubleshoot and attempt to restore your device to secure functionality:

Open the Samsung Members app, go to Support, and select Diagnostics. This can identify any hardware or software issues and provide a status overview.

Check especially for reports related to battery health, location services, and software updates.

Boot into Safe Mode: Safe Mode temporarily disables all third-party apps, allowing you to see if any installed apps are causing the issues.

To activate Safe Mode, press and hold the Power button, then tap and hold Power Off until the Safe Mode option appears. Select it, then see if location services, Bluetooth, and other functions behave as expected.

If Safe Mode improves things, a third-party app could be causing conflicts, and you may need to uninstall recent or suspicious apps.

Perform Wipe Cache partition: Sometimes, corrupted system cache data can cause erratic behavior.

Turn off your device, then press and hold the Volume Up and Power buttons until the Samsung logo appears, then release. Once in Recovery Mode, use the volume buttons to scroll to Wipe Cache Partition and select it with the power button. After it’s done, reboot your phone.

Perform a Full Factory Reset:

Although you mentioned factory reset keeps info on the phone, a full reset using Recovery Mode should clear all data. First, back up your device with Samsung Cloud or Google Drive.

Enter Recovery Mode as described in Step 4, and select Factory data reset. After the reset, avoid restoring apps automatically to prevent reintroducing problematic ones.

If issues persist even after a full reset and Safe Mode doesn’t improve functionality, please get the device examined by the service technician by visiting the Samsung Authorized Service center.

Thank you.
