Could always try Booting into Recovery & Wiping Cache. Could just be some lost fragments somewhere causing the problem.

Instructions on how to Wipe Cache:

Power off the device & wait a few seconds. seconds.

Press & HOLD the Power & Volume UP buttons until you feel the phone VIBRATE & Release BOTH buttons at the same time.

Wait a couple of seconds until you see the Recovery Menu.

Use the Volume button to scroll down to "Wipe Cache" & Select it with the Power Button.

Wait until the Recovery Menu Defaults Back to "Reboot System Now".

Where are you setting the Brightness, From Settings > Display? (which won't do what you want).

Or from Settings > Always On Display? (Which SHOULD do what you want?)

Was the AOD display bright enough previously, and this is a recent issue?

As you can see from my screen shots, my AOD brightness is set quite a bit lower than yours, and I have the S20 Ultra, which in theory is not as bright as the S23 series.

If it's a recent issue, you could check to see if it's possibly a Sensor issue that is limiting the brightness?

Open the Samsung Members app & Click on Support & Phone Diagnostics. Run the Diagnostics for the Sensors. See if you get any error message?

Ran the tests, no errors for sensors
It was fine before, found the issue just recently

Hi, if you haven't tried to perform Wipe cache partition then please try the steps provided above to perform Wipe Cache partition and check if the AOD display is bright again.
