Wanted to share this display issue that seems to he affecting a large number of S24 series users (myself included). Gradients are rendered horribly, and the most recent February patch has not resolved the issue.

You can see what I'm talking about in the attached image. Those squares should not be there, and are not there on my S22 Ultra.

Since purchasing this phone I have not at all been pleased with the performance of its display, and I strongly recommend everyone skip this generation of Samsungs flagship line

Did you check other apps as well, and other colors.

I'm experiencing the same thing. It's extremely frustrating when it happens to photos taken from the camera.

I'm using the S24 Ultra1708958618065.jpg

Hopefully the next update fixes it. Samsung used to have the best displays but they've been slipping

I think is the weather app background low resolution problem. I enlarged a photo on blue sky. The top photo darker blue and lower sky brighter blue, it does not have square shape in colour transition.1708960663759.jpg

It's not as obvious as the weather app but there are still bands in photos like that. Super annoying

Hi, Galaxy S24 series model has been adjusted colors and brightness for more accurate and comfortable vision while using.

It has made some changes to the display technology to offer a more natural viewing experience, so you may notice differences in color depth when compared to older devices.

This concept of behavior on the display is and intended color adjustment and is not a defect of the product, so you can use it with confidence.

To provide our customers with the best possible experience, we value customer feedback and continually improve our software (UX) as market and consumer interests evolve.

Im sure the banding was intentional for a more natural viewing experience.

This is not comfortable for my vision but thank you for the useless comment.

The screen is bright, sure, but it looks like garbage. 20240226_175622_1000004866_1708988197.jpg

It's not a defect?

Use it with confidence?

You took something that worked fine and wrecked it. Then you came out with a "fix" for your blunder and it's just as bad. Finally you have the audacity to make such a post?

It's bad enough that Samsung support is terrible - now the quality of the product is diminishing.
