I just updated to the new firmware yesterday. I know it came out like last week or something but I was late.

Anyway... left my phone charging over night, woke up to the little annoying alarm sound saying there's moisture or debris in my charging port.

So I unplugged it and left it free out all day to dry. Also tried cleaning inside the port.

Even after leaving it all day, sometimes when I plug in the charger, I get the same warning.

And then after trying to clean or dry it again. It charges but only at normal speeds.

Toggled on and off fast charging in settings, cleared cache, restarted phone many times, tried different cables, even new official ones that came in the samsung phone boxes, and 2 different wall adapters (official Samsung 25W and 65W combo) and still no fix. The diagnostic is also showing only normal charging speed.

Is anyone else going through the same issue?

Hoping it's a software thing and not a hardware thing cause I seriously don't wanna go leaving my phone at Samsung again and be without a phone for who knows how long.

Was working just fine before the update. Didn't drop my phone or wet my phone or anything so I don't know what's going on.

Sigh

I updated last week and everything is fine on my end so doesn't seem to be a software issue. Weird that it happened right after updating though. Did you try a hard reset by pressing the power button for 30s while plugged in ?

I didn't think about that. Didn't even know there was a hard reset way for this phone. I'll do that next time.

For now, it seems to have fixed itself after leaving it charged overnight.

Weird though... lol

Hi Deeezzyyy, that's strange! We are sorry to hear that your'e experiencing this issue after the update.

Please use Safe Mode: This can check if any third-party is causing the slow charging issue.

First, completely power off the Galaxy phone or tablet > Power on the device and when the Samsung logo appears, press and hold the Volume down key > If done correctly, "Safe mode" will display on the bottom left corner of the screen. If "Safe mode" does not appear, repeat the steps above > Once you are in Safe mode, you can remove the third-party app that is causing issues > To exit Safe mode, simply restart your phone or tablet and it will reboot normally.

Thanks Helenna but it was not a third party app as I didn't install anything new. It was really only happening after the update. But after leaving it as is overnight, it seems to have fixed itself somehow.

Unfortunately, I was not able to resolve it.

It sometimes fast charges and sometimes it doesn't.
