s8 not fitting into the old Gear VR...any help?

My phone does not fit into my old Gear VR the because of the USB mouth how can I do this cos i can't just buy a new one

I've heard somewhere that the older Gear VR isn't compatible with the S8 and it requires the new Gear VR, I personally never had a Gear VR so I can't say for sure if it's true.

The Samsung S8 is not compatible with the old Gear VR. You need to have the new VR with controller.

I spoke with a tech dude and he said i can buy the USB C adapter and fix on it...so il see how that works

I got the 2016 model and just bought the replacement usb c connector on ebay.... It works for me.

I have the first gear innovator edition for s6 and the new vr for the s8. but I tried to use the usb to usb c adapter on my old vr and it fits

But i have the sm-R322 and the USB part looks like it's fixed if i order the part I don't know if i cn replace this...please help me out
