s8 plus - blue box appearing on screen

Hi, I am using s8 plus and i have no idea why all of sudden this blue box starts appearing on the screen..when it appears a system checking sound(heavy beep) is there.
you cannot do anything on your phone as wherever you click on screen this box appears and takes no actions..not even u can turn it odd or restart it.
I have tried pressing several keys and keys combinations but none helpful..sometimes volume up + power button works but not sure of it.
trying to figure what exactly it is and how it can be avoided.lookimg for a help !

hey try going to Setting-accessibility-vision and then make sure voice assistant is off . If that doesn't work let me know and I'll see what else I can do to help

hey thank you for replying..voice assistant is off though i also think that this problem is related to assistant stuff only as it highlights the area with a blue box wherever i touch my screen..

I had the same issue on my Note 7 before it was recalled and I honestly can't remember what I did but I wanna say it randomly went away after restarting a couple times. It would do a weird thing where a blue line would run from top to bottom as if scanning my screen. Have you played around with any of the developer options?

atlast this combination is working almost evey time

-Settings
--Developer Options

under the list there...
If 'show touches' is on, try turning it off to see if that may make a difference

still looking for this specific "developer options" in the setting panel...couldn't find it.pls help

You have to toggle developer options on, it's a hidden feature so there shouldn't be anything turned on it there but you could still see if it maybe turned itself on somehow. Go to Settings - Software information - where it says Build number, tap it a couple times and Developer options will appear in the settings menu at the very bottom

blue box it kind of sounds like you've checked off maybe in the display settings something for putting borders around stuff look for something like that and maybe uncheck it. if I get things that I really can't change and I tried everything I just tend to do a factory reset on my phone I can pull most of the data back on smart switch from my old phone to this phone it's a bit of a hassle because you've got to reload a lot of stuff but it tends to clear the problem up you probably check something in the settings and didn't know that's what it did maybe I'm not sure good luck.
