Hi, Welcome to the Samsung Members Community Canada. If your battery is always draining, there are multiple things you can do to extend its battery life.

1. You can view the estimated battery life based on how much you have used over the past week. You can also closely monitor how much battery your apps are eating up.

From Settings, swipe to and tap Device care, and then tap Battery. To view your battery usage, tap Battery usage at the top of the page.

2. If needed, you can shorten the screen timeout to save battery life.

From Settings, search for and select Screen timeout. Tap Screen timeout again, and then select your desired option. Choose 15 seconds to save the most battery life. The screen timeout is set to 30 seconds by default.

3. The use of power modes can affect app and device performance. Some tasks and features may take longer to complete or update. Additionally, apps running in the background may not receive updates or send you notifications when power-saving modes are enabled.

From Settings, swipe to and tap Device care. Tap Battery, and tap Power mode. Tap your desired power mode, and then apply your desired settings or customizations. Finally, tap Apply.

Below are the available Power modes:

  • High performance: Maximum screen brightness and resolution. Uses more battery. This option is not available on all devices.

  • Optimized: Get the recommended balance of performance and battery life.

  • Medium power saving: Extend battery life by limiting some functions.

  • Maximum power saving: Save as much battery as possible.

You can also turn on Adaptive power saving to automatically set the power mode based on your usage patterns. This will not alter your screen resolution. This feature is only available on certain phones.

4. If the screen is hurting your eyes, turn on Adaptive brightness. It will learn your usage patterns and automatically adjust the screen brightness based on your prior adjustments.

From Settings, tap Display, and then tap Adaptive brightness. To turn it on or off, tap the switch.

Try checking the Battery Health using the Samsung Members app.

Click on "Get Help" & Diagnostics & then the battery icon, but it's possible that the battery may need to be replaced, depending on the results of the battery test.
