Samsung Calendar notifications do not ignore Do Not Disturb

I keep missing meetings because the Samsung Calendar app, which is set to Strong Notifications, comes up full screen like it should, but with no sound if Do Not Disturb is turned on. I have overridden this in DND settings, but Calendar will still not give a notification sound when DND is turned on.

Am I doing something wrong, or is it broken?

Hi csewell, please navigate to Do not disturb from settings >> Click on Allow exceptions >> Now add Samsung Calendar into Allow exceptions. Also, turn off Don't Pop Up Notifications and toggle off Hide full screen notifications.

Samsung Calendar is already in the DND->Apps->Apps that can ignore DND with all notifications enabled. And under Hide notifications, everything is turned off there. Every setting I can see to enable the calendar to notify me when DND is turned on has been enabled. And it does pop up with a full screen notification, just with no alarm sound or vibration.

Hi csewell, please Go to Calendar >> Tap on the Menu key >> Next tap on the settings icon >> Go to Alert style >> Then tap on Ring once sound >> check that you have enabled vibrate switch.

Please keep us posted if it worked for  you.

Ok, under Alert Style I don't see a Ring Once sound, just Light, Medium, and Strong. I have it set to Strong because I want the Calendar notification to act more like an alarm clock: keep ringing until I snooze or turn it off. But you did point me in the right direction. Under the Long Sound setting for Strong, there is a toggle: Ignore sound settings, play alert even when the phone is set to silent, which was turned off. It seems the notification setting for Strong Alert is completely different than every other notification setting and has to be enabled here and nowhere else. The other Alert settings go to the Calendar General Notification panel, but Strong Alert is different. Thanks for your help.

How do I adjust media in Do not disturb mode? I just don't want emails calls and notifications, but I want to use my phone like previous models
