Hi, I am having an issue with Samsung email not sending notifications for emails. I have it unrestricted battery usage, all notifications on and went into all accounts and set to sync always. If I open the app I have all the unread new emails populate at once. I only use Samsung email on my device but I will be finding another service if I can't find a solution to why notifications are not working. Any helpful info would be appreciated, thanks

Hi Quadsa,

Could you try one of the following solutions:

  1. With your current settings (unrestricted battery usage, notifications on, and always syncing), try removing your account and re-adding it again.
  2. Clear the Samsung Email's app cache ('Settings', 'Apps', search for 'Samsung Email' or 'Email', click 'Storage', and 'Clear cache'. Alternatively, if you want, you can click 'Clear data').
  3. Use a third-party email app and check if the notification is working. If it is not notifying you of new incoming emails, there might be an issue with your account.

Please let us know how it goes.

I am using S24 Ultra as well, but works fine on my phone. Have you check if Samsung Email put in sleeping apps?

Hi, yes I made sure it wasn't in sleeping apps. I tried putting it on never sleep apps but it didn't show in the list of apps. Currently have no sleeping apps

I am using another email service and it works fine all emails notifications instantly. Samsung email can't be trusted at this point even if I did re-enter my account and clear cache.

Hi Quadsa, we apologize for the inconvenience you are facing and we are taking note of your issue.

When Samsung Email is suddenly unable to deliver a notification or pull up new incoming emails, even when everything was working perfectly before, usually it means there is a slight change on your email account (e.g. server settings) and it requires the user to manually change in the Samsung Email app. However, removing and re-adding the account usually solves this issue.

I just want to say for anyone else with the same problem. Removing and re-adding accounts did fix the issue. I received multiple emails instantly after and had notifications for all.
