Samsung email

Hi,

Can anyone tell me why my Samsung email keeps running in the background? It started today may 5th and I've checked every option that I can think of.

Swipe down to pull down the notification and swipe left. It should disappear.

Long press on email sync in notification. Click Turn off.

Or you can long press on Samsung email, click "i" on top right. Click notification-> notification categories-> Email sync notification. Turn it off from there.

Thanks I will try it. Very annoying, last night I made sure it was not running in the background and when I woke up this morning it had been running in the background for 5 hours.

Funny I experienced the same issue earlier May 6th and found there was an update to Samsung Mail. After which emails with codes from a provider started working.

This will stop the notification but will not stop it from being active in the background

Hey bhawan, have you tried the suggestions by Joce1? Is it worked for you?
