Hello all,

My S24 has just starting having a charging issue. When the phone is powered on, it will not Fast Charge (Super Charge with the turquoise coloured bar) and will only charge normally with with the green bar. I'm using a genuine Samsung charger and cable and this happened almost overnight, possibly due to the new software upgrade?

But the other weird thing is that if i power my phone off and then charge it, it states that there's moisture in it and won't charge at all! Anyone else having something similar happen to them?

P.S. I've turned fast charging on and off, I have no 3rd party battery apps, I've dried the phone overnight for 12hrs, used a hair dryer to dry it further, got a metallic toothpick to remove any debris and used a thin piece of tissue to dry off any excess moisture but no joy. Oh, and I've also tried three other fast chargers with no luck either!

Open the Samsung Members app & Click on Support > Phone Diagnostics & run the Diagnostics for the USB Charging Port & the Battery.. see if you get any error messages?

I certainly wouldn't recommend using anything metallic to clean the charging port!

Hi Inhandable,

We are sorry to hear this issue from you. Please check if you have tried the below steps.

Clear the USB Settings cache in Settings > Apps. Please try charging in Safe Mode to rule out app interference. Also, please run the diagnostics by following the above steps by RedDogRabbit and see if you get any error message.

Open the Samsung Members app & Click on Support > Phone Diagnostics & run the Diagnostics for the USB Charging Port & Cable Charging .. the main reason for running the Diagnostics for the Battery, is that it will show you the actual Charging Speed.. I'm sure that there's another way to get the information, but just to see if you are getting incorrect information elsewhere?

This is on my S23 Ultra One UI V6.1..

I am not doubting you, but just to check.

I'm having the same issue, I ran the phone diagnostics and didn't get any error, I also went to a Samsung Care, they cleaned the port and and dried the phone and the moisture alert didn't go away, after I get home the phone starts charging again but only on normal mode (the green color). I don't wanna open the phone and replace the whole thing that might not fix the problem. I hope it'll get some software solution
