Samsung > Google

Hey everyone!

I've been testing and playing around with different "standard" apps, switching between Samsung and Google. 

In the last few years I've noticed that Samsung started to advertise more Google stuff and many apps from Samsung are no longer available or working properly.

What are your main apps, like: email, contacts, messages, caller, calendar, notes, wallet, browser, assistant?

Please share if you are using 3rd party apps.

For now my set up:

Google messages 

Samsung notes

Google & Samsung calendar

Google wallet

Gmail + Samsung mail + Proton Mail 

Samsung contacts

Truecaller(3rd party) 

Brave browser(3rd party) 

Bixby + google assistant 

The reason why I decided to post this topic is because I want to stop using Google services as much as I possibly can.

Hey RobertZ, thanks for sharing. May I ask why Brave and why the rest is Google lol?

Ad blocking. Syncs fine between platforms.

The PC version of Brave is a lot better than the smartphone version.

ALL are still VERY much available!

Are you using only Samsung apps as email, contacts, messages, caller, calendar, notes? Thanks

Yes.
Your post led me to believe in your testing, which stated the samung version of the apps were no longer available.

They are, but not all the apps are still updating and working properly. But I was more curious about Samsung vs Google
