I have certain album names that I wanted to change because they weren't grammatically formatted the way I wanted. I tried deleting all the files, uninstalling the app, clearing the cache of the app, deleting the files in the app THEN on a PC but NOTHING WORKS. Regardless of what I do, whenever the albums get added back onto my phone, the album names stay the same errors and all. On my computer they have all been edited correctly through a tag editor so I 100% know they're correct. Is there any reason why my phone refuses to accept the new names?

I delete the files off my phone (through the PC), add the music back in and it changes it from the correct version that was on my PC back to the incorrect version the second it gets added back into my phone.

On my computer all the tags have been corrected via MP3Tag. But as soon as it gets added into my phone it changes the album names back.

Hey @Hypophrenia, to help us troubleshoot, could you please submit a device error log? From the Samsung Members application, tap the “Feedback” icon. Tap the Pen icon and then submit an “Error report”. Thanks! -Jenna from Samsung

I have the same problem. Before the update I could edit the names of the songs, albums and everything. Now it tells me file type not supported. Fix it or let me get the old one back

I'm having the same issue, where i've changed lowercase letter to capitals and the other way around theough editing the id3 tags of the files on my pc but samsung music wont take the change (only album names, song name changes take effect immediatly). The same problem appears when updating cover art, where it only applies the new artwork after clearing all the app data and deleting and reinstalling it several times. Sadly the album names dont change, no matter how often i do that. The names and artworks are clearly being cached somewhere that doesnt get deleted even when chosing "delete app data", though the artwork cache does eventually get reset if i reinstall the app enough times.

I cant edit the files in samsung music itself since they're flac files.

I have the same problem I've changed ump times the name artist in the properties and by the way I do it with my computer and recopied on the phone and still the same. It just doesn't want to change some of my songs.  Some I was able to change and others I just can't change them.  I even tried one lower case to upper case and adding an underscore in between and it's not working
