Samsung s8 keeps freezing while charging and causing me to miss my alarm. HELP!

My phone freezes when charging. Using aod. Found many others with the issue but no solution. Keep missing my alarm.

Have you tried doing a factory reset on your phone? Always make a backup first, then factory reset your phone, try it out for a few days and see if the issue is still happening, if it has stopped, then restore from your backup and if the issue happens again after restoring your backup, then something you installed that you restored could be causing the issue. I hope you figure it out.

Thanks i have been trying to hold off on the factory reset. Will wait to see if anybody heard anything about a specific app or setting. If it still happens within a week will need to go that route. Thanks!

Factory reset has always been my last resort if I can't figure out the issue, Good luck

Are you using any app that calls itself some battery booster/doctor or any Cleaner/cooler app?

No although Samsung has one integrated in the os

I read on another forum someone who was using the SwiftKey keyboard had the same issue. When they uninstalled it the phone stopped freezing. Are you using SwiftKey?

Yes I'm using SwiftKey.

Well you should get rid of it, at the very least temporarily
