Currently in the United States samsung is offering 400+ dollars to trade in the S10e. Samsung Canada is only offering $160.

This is such a terrible valuation im actually shocked. What incentive is there to upgrade to another Samsung phone? I've been struggling to find ways to convince myself that staying with samsung is a good choice.

I know there are lots of previous posts about this topic, but I feel like samsung needs to know just how many people this is angering.

Thanks Keagan. If the "team" was truly concerned, my S10e wouldn't be worth less than the galaxy buds plus.

Let me just say for the record that if samsung made their trade in values decent, that would be incentive enough for me to purchase something like an S20 FE, or even a higher end model. Currently there's 0 incentive and I hope that you can agree with me on that. Why would I pay 950 dollars outright for an S20 FE if samsung is only going to value it at 200 bucks in a year? What is the point in buying samsung devices year after year if samsung is going to treat me differently than customers elsewhere? Its insulting. Why do Americans get such better deals when i purchased the exact same phone as them? It doesn't make sense.

Why would you want to trade in the S10e ? it's still a great product and most of the S20 features are coming to it anyway

Dont get me wrong I love my S10e. However, it doesn't make sense to me that Americans are being offered 400 dollars for theirs while im being offered 160 for mine.

Could be many factors, low demand in Canada for the S20 series in Canada, population differences obviously, A series is outpacing the S series in Canada anymore

it's funny you brought this up. yesterday I went on the Samsung U.S. website and can apparently get a note 20 ultra for$750 American as they offer a credit of $500 for my note 9. I was blown away and it actually made me think about doing it. The only issue is I don't know what duties or taxes I may have to pay. Btw last I checked the Canadian Samsung page valued my phone at around $180

Hi JohnH, Trade-in value is determined by the current resale market of the device being traded in, specific make, model and condition are also used. The markets are analyzed constantly to ensure you get a fair trade-in value.
Clover Wireless is a certified reseller and recycler who periodically reviews the current trade-in value table and updates the value calculator based on market conditions.
