Post-software update, the device exhibits degraded camera image quality and sluggish performance, mirroring that of older phone models. Operational speed and responsiveness are no longer optimal.
Device: S24 Ultra

Update after seven hours: It's working more quickly, but the selfie camera is a bit slow when move the phone.

Have you cleared cache partition?

I have OneUI 7 installed now and no difference. If anything it definitely feels more snappier than before. Definitely much more quicker and no lag. And no change in quality on the camera. I'm reserving judgement on battery as I just had it installed.

It's running better now, but the battery's draining a bit faster.

Hi Sal10,

We are sorry to hear that your'e experiencing issues after the update and appreciate your efforts.

Battery drain after an update is common due to background processes or new features. Please try the below steps and see if it helps to solve the issue.

Check Battery Usage: Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Battery usage. See if any app is consuming excessive power.

Disable AI Features: If you don’t use the new AI functionalities, turn them off in Settings under relevant categories like Smart suggestions or Battery optimization.

Optimize Power Settings: Go to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Power saving. Enable power saving mode or Adaptive battery to help manage usage.

Clear Cache: Clear the cache partition to remove residual data from the update by booting into recovery mode and selecting Wipe cache partition.

Hold the Power button and Volume Down to open the power options where choose the Power off > When the screen goes dark press the Volume Up and Power keys together > Let go of all held buttons when you see the Recovery mode on the screen > Then you should select Wipe cache partition. Use Volume Up to navigate and the Power button to accept it > Choose Yes and press the Power key to confirm that operation > After that select Reboot system now with the Power key."

If nothing works, as a last resort please perform back up and factory data reset.
