There are some attachments and features missing from Google Messages.

Samsung, can you please work with Google Messages to add these missing features in their messaging app that are included in Samsung Messages for Samsung phones?

For example, when you send a motion photo, it removes the motion and sends a static photo. The workaround is to send it by Quick Share, but that sends a link instead of just the photos if the person isn't near you. The rest are seen in the attached photos.

It's actually a fact that Samsung and Google have a new agreement to push everyone to use Google Messages instead of Samsung Messages starting in 2024. Even all of the carriers are included in this agreement, but it's confusing because Samsung is still updating Samsung Messages, and it hasn't been removed from their old or new phones. However, Google Messages now comes set up as the default Messages app in all phones from 2024 onwards. Samsung stated that they're collaborating with Google on Google Messages, so I'm not sure what will happen. 🙄🤷🏾‍♀️ The only way Samsung Messages will be the default is if you use Smart Switch each time to set up your new phone and you were previously using Samsung Messages. 📱📲

If such an agreement Is fact then there would be absolutely no confusion especially from Samsung continuously updating the app.

I think too many people just spit verbatim thinking it's fact cause they hear it by word of mouth and nobody requests the direct source or proof direct from either said in the mention: Google nor Samsung.

Example QuickSahre is the same on Samsung and on Google got all features and sent a memo out 2 months ago and thus an update in may that fixed and showed the results of gaining features from Samsung and confusion was done! That's less than 3 months.

So I challenge the status quo as a techie when I see word of mouth verbatim (or like that's campus trip kids game broken telephone) ;)

Installation of a service or app as primary is NOT an official agreement, and thus, when asking the largest LLM for AI, even IT can not show actual fact, it claims.

Remember, WHO MAKES Gemini a d thrives on advertisement? Samsung Messages was updated just updated last week.

Also search Google Play Strore for Samsung Messages.youll see a plethora of clones using the same icon - this is by design and most likely why Google which benefits from false advertisement of having this mentioned both in Gemini and also being the default on smasung devices since 12.2022.

Again ... read the article fully. Every word has a meaning. And still no proof Samsung Messages is going away.

In fact it further proves my stance that its staying because Samsung is thr MAJOR contributor for RCS being a global standard and any developer creating their apps (this included manufacturer competitors like say Oppo, Xiaomi, etc) that use either Samsung or Googles messaging apps as a base will ensure interoperability for RCS.

A partnership. Standard. Major contributor. Software as a platform. These key words kill your verbatim statement being false that Google Messages will replace Samsung Messages.
