I already understand how I can screen record, but it would be so much easier if it was a task. Taking screenshots is a task. It would make sense if screen record was also one.

Secondly, the automatic countdown on the screen recording app is useless. It would be better if I could dictate when to start. I understand you can skip countdown, but that's not what I want.

Hi MalayaleeMamba,
You can add or download the screen recorder edge widget as mentioned by CynicalJerk84.
You can select up to 10 Edge panels. To open up the menu, swipe left on the Edge panel handle; it's a gray tab on the right side of the screen. Then, tap the Settings icon (it looks like a gear). Select or deselect the edge panel you want to add or remove.
Note: Some downloadable Edge panels may require you to purchase them. Some devices may not be compatible with downloading additional Edge panels.
Swipe left on the Edge panel handle to open up the menu, and then tap the Settings icon (it looks like a gear). Tap Galaxy Store at the bottom. Select the Edge panel app you want to download, and then follow the on-screen prompts to download it.
Thank you CynicalJerk84 for your information.
