How can I make the playback go on ?

Other players work properly while Voice Recorder wants the screen to be on.

Thanks

Make sure that you have the latest version of Samsung's Voice Recorder.

You can try Clearing Cache & Data for the app ⚠️⚠️⚠️ BACKUP any IMPORTANT Recordings FIRST⚠️⚠️⚠️

In Settings >Apps Search for Voice Recorder & Scroll down to "Battery" Make sure that it is NOT "Restricted", see the screen shot.

Optimized and Unrestricted are fine, but Restricted will likely cause Voice Recorder to stop playing with the screen off.

Hi,
Not exactly.
Unlike other apps, Voice Recorder will stop whenever the screen goes off.
Still looking for the solution.

Go to Settings > Apps > Voice Recorder > Battery & set it to Unrestricted & it will continue to Record (always would) AND Play with the screen Off.

I know it should.
And it does as long as I play a file within the app.
Yet, it will stop if I make it play through a different app, i.e. a file manager.
There must be another solution.

I can play the voice recordings using Spotify & screen off.

Maybe explain exactly what you are trying to do.

Playing a file within the app works fine, screen on and off.
Playing a file from Solid Explorer through Voice Recorder will stop when screen goes off.
Using a different player through Solid Explorer works fine with screen off.

So, don't use a file explorer... simple.

Unless you have a specific reason for wanting to use a file explorer, I don't see the problem.
