My S25's battery gets about 40 celsius while gaming. The chip itself gets up to 55. So when is it too hot and causing damage to my battery/screen and cameras?

That's not too hot.

If you think it's too hot, you could adjust power settings so the processor doesn't run as fast. It's under settings-> battery->power saving.

While I can't speak on the screen most modern Mobile Processors can survive upto 80 or 85°C before they start to experience problems from prolonged use. Most modern Desktop and Laptop CPUs additionally can go upto 90°C before it becomes worrisome and most desktops and laptops emergency shut off at 100. Don't worry about it too much.

Hi SMarco,

Yes, that’s a great way to manage heat! Enabling Power Saving Mode (or adjusting performance settings) can limit CPU speed, reduce refresh rate, and decrease background activity all helping to keep temperatures in check.

Thank you.

Most phones also have protections in place to warn you when it's overheating and will usually shutdown automatically once dangerous temperature levels are reached.
