Galaxy SIf you think it's too hot, you could adjust power settings so the processor doesn't run as fast. It's under settings-> battery->power saving.

Yes, that’s a great way to manage heat! Enabling Power Saving Mode (or adjusting performance settings) can limit CPU speed, reduce refresh rate, and decrease background activity all helping to keep temperatures in check.

Galaxy SMost phones also have protections in place to warn you when it's overheating and will usually shutdown automatically once dangerous temperature levels are reached.
