Galaxy SHi arrvee,
We are sad to hear that you're experiencing this issue with your Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra where the screen turns white or green for extended periods after a recent software update. Please try the below steps to fix the problem:
Force restart the device: Hold down the Power Button and the Volume Down Button simultaneously for about 10-15 seconds until the Samsung logo appears. This will force the phone to restart and may temporarily fix the issue.
Booting into Safe Mode disables third-party apps, which can help determine if the issue is caused by one of these apps.
- Press and hold the Power Button until you see the power off icon.
- Then press and hold the Power Off icon until the Safe Mode icon appears.
- Tap Safe Mode.
- If the white or green screen issue doesn’t occur in Safe Mode, it may be caused by a third-party app. Try uninstalling any recently installed apps.
Sometimes, a software update can cause issues with cached files. Clearing the cache partition may resolve this.
- Turn off your phone.
- Press and hold the Volume Up Button and the Power Button simultaneously.
- When the Samsung logo appears, release both buttons.
- Use the volume buttons to navigate to Wipe Cache Partition and press the Power button to select it.
- After clearing the cache, reboot the phone.
If nothing works, as a last resort, please perform a factory reset. Backup all your data before doing this, as it will erase everything on your phone.
