So it says everywhere the US gets this with Snapdragon 888, Canada and others get Exynos 2100.

I live in Canada. I bought this from my provider which is the biggest in the country (Bell). So I was totally sure I had the Exynos.

Just now tho I noticed on Bell's site in specs it says it has the 888. So naturally I was like "lol newbs just pasted the first thing they saw."

But then I checked a couple of those hardware apps and they say I have the 888? That makes no sense right? What's a reliable way to check for sure?

All S21 devices that have the letter "W" immediately after the model number like yours SM-G991W have the Snapdragon chip & DEFINITELY NOT Exynos.

Ok thank you but just noting that the F variant doesn't seem to exist? Just trying to learn thank you for the info.

It exists & There's the "U" & "U1" which are the US versions & the "B" which is the Australian version.

Okay I swear I'm not trying to be difficult but could you take a second and check an actual website? GSM arena doensn't list it, zero results on galaxyfirmware.com, and gibberish when I searched on duckduckgo.

Citing a topic made by a random person on the internet is about as legit as typing it out in a notes app and then taking a screenshot.. I genuinely want to be corrected but I couldn't trick my brain into accepting that as the truth while dismissing actual sources if I tried

Once again I'm just asking if you're saying all this based on you knowledge of this actual model and not previous generations. GSM arena shows an F version for the S20. Screenshot_20210921-003602_Firefox~2_1306.jpg

From GSM Arena

See the screen shot & there's both the Exynos (international variant) &

Qualcomm Snapdragon variant (North American, including Canada)

It says "S21 4G", which confirms what I said. The S20+ 5G for Europe is SM-G986B. You cannot find an SM-G986F, just a SM-G985F (S21+ 4G Europe). Search for its firmware and you will not find any for SM-G986F, even if there was an S20+ 5G for Europe.

There is no G991F. The B is for Europe/Asia 5G. F is for Europe/Asia LTE

Well, there was supposed to be, but on GSM Arena it shows "cancelled".

The "F" designation has traditionally always referred to the International / European variant.

Not sure where you're seeing that Canada gets exynos chips. I just googled "canada S21 exynos" and every result explained how the Canadian S21 has the snapdragon 888.
