Beware of T Assurant on your trade-in

Want to share a story regarding T Assurant with your Samsung Device trade-in. 

I traded in my S20 Ultra for a new S23 Ultra on unpacked day 2 years ago. As an IT manager, I pride myself in keeping good care of my devices. Always in a case with a 9m glass screen protector from day 1. After sending my S20 Ultra to T Assurant for trade-in, I received a message saying the value was $100 because the screen was cracked. I called bs and sent T Assurant a Pic of the S20 Ultra with the IEMI and Serial number showing on a perfect screen with a date stamp on the shipping date. T Assurant did not care and tried to screw me. I Phoned Samsung Canada and told them of my issue. I requested that they send me a Pic of the broken phone with the IEMI and Serial number of my phone. This went back and forth for over a month until I got my Lawyer involved. Then T. Assurant conceded.

Samsung Members Always take a video showing your IEMI and Serial number date stamped before sending your devices to T Assurant. These people will lie through their teeth and gaslight you just to save there own skin.

^^^ T Assurant is a scam company. They have been doing this for years. i am not sure why Samsung is still operating with them.

In addition to the above, take a video of fully functional phone with no screen burn in, you removing your google and Samsung accounts, factory reset, physical condition of phone, and video of packing your phone.


I have seen them claim that the box was empty, the phone is locked, no phone in the box, a broken screen, etc.

That company T Assurant HAS TO GO!

Sadly carriers are using this company as well. Sooner a later a class action lawsuit is gonna give them what they deserve! They should be disbanded as a business and their leaders never to work together Ina business nor in partnership ever again!!

This happens to many Samsung Members. Samsung Canada should either fire then or bring in oversight because no one trusts T Assurant. Also using 3rd party support who with each support agent you get a different answer, is frustrating. And if they do work for Samsung then the whole set has to change.

Agreed! A company as big as Samsung with this many loyal customers should NEVER USE A 2rd party: period!
