Galaxy Z
How do I format a USB drive on Galaxy Z Flip5. On all my other Galaxy devices, I just connect the USB drive, and then I can go into storage or notification panel, and have an option to format the drive. Now they're is no option anywhere. Only option is to unmount the drive. The USB drive I have is formatted as NTFS file format, when I put it into my Flip5, it is read only because of the NTFS file format. This is why I want to format the USB drive on my Flip5.

I figured it out. If the USB drive is formatted as NTFS, the only option you will see is Unmount. In order to format a USB drive on an android phone/tablet is to make sure the USB drive uses the Fat32 or exFAT file systems. If the USB drive is NTFS, then you have to format on a PC before using it on the android device.
