Fingerprint Notification Gesture Removed

The gesture to swipe down on the fingerprint sensor to show the notification panel at any time has been removed in OneUI 5.1.1 on the Fold 5.

This gesture was available and working well in OneUI 5.1 on my old Fold 4. I used the gesture all the time and it was a great user experience feature. This never should been removed on the Fold 5.

The suggestion the agent gave in the attached screenshot to return to the home screen and use the swipe down gesture from there is not a reasonable option.

Please bring this gesture back in an update soon.

I've read all the comments and 100% of them say they loved the feature and want it back, and 0% say they are glad you removed this feature.

When using the Flip5 one handed, I have to awkwardly shuffle my hand up the phone to reach the top of the screen to swipe for notifications. Almost makes me regret switching.

Currently setting up my Fold 5 and this is unbelievably dumb. I've gone from Fold 3 to Fold 4 to now Fold 5 and this is the first time I can say the upgrade got notably worse. That was such a useful and unique feature considering the size of the device, so much so it was one of the first things I tried to fix after setup was complete because I use it so much. Please whoever reviews these make this a priority to fix in a coming update.

They definitely don't care about customers, they care about profit, as is the case with any business. What they seem to be missing is that without customers there is no profit.

I just upgraded from Flip4 to Fold5 and this is jarring. The gesture was great and very convenient, I have no idea why samsung would remove something that wasn't broken
