Galaxy ZHi Vitalii_CH,
It is unfortunate to hear that your Galaxy Z Flip 7 is overheating during use with Android Auto, Google Maps, YouTube Music, and phone calls. This behavior may be attributed to the high processing demand placed on the device when running multiple applications simultaneously, particularly in a vehicle environment.
We recommend the following steps to help mitigate the issue:
-
Ensure Software Is Up to Date
-
Go to Settings > Software update > Download and install to confirm your device is running the latest firmware.
-
-
Close Background Applications
-
Before connecting to Android Auto, close any unnecessary apps to reduce CPU load.
-
-
Use a Wired Connection (if possible)
-
A wired connection may reduce the strain caused by wireless data transmission and charging.
-
-
Avoid Direct Sunlight and Enclosed Mounts
-
Keep the device in a ventilated area and avoid placing it in direct sunlight or enclosed mounts that trap heat.
-
-
Monitor Battery and Performance Settings
-
Navigate to Settings > Battery and device care > Battery > Background usage limits to optimize app behavior.
-
If the issue persists, we recommend submitting an error report via the Samsung Members app or contacting Samsung Support for further assistance.

Galaxy ZI had that problem when I first got my S25 Ultra and found that using power cable instead of wireless helped but still the phone was way hotter than normal.
The problem went away on its own so I am guessing it happened with an update.

Galaxy ZThank you for sharing your experience with the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Your observation that switching to a wired charger helped reduce the heat is consistent with known behavior—wireless charging typically generates more heat due to energy loss during transmission. The fact that the issue resolved itself over time strongly suggests that a firmware or software update may have addressed thermal management or charging efficiency.
Samsung often releases optimization patches shortly after a device launch to fine-tune performance and resolve early user-reported issues. If others are experiencing similar symptoms, it's reassuring to know that updates may offer a fix.
If you notice any recurrence or if the device becomes uncomfortably hot again, I’d recommend checking for pending software updates and monitoring battery usage in Settings > Battery and device care.

Galaxy ZThank you for sharing your experience. It is encouraging to hear that the issue with elevated phone temperature has been resolved. While it remains unclear whether the improvement resulted from an Android Auto update or a Samsung system update, your observation suggests that recent software enhancements may have contributed to better thermal management.
We appreciate your feedback, as it provides valuable insight into real-world device performance. Should you encounter any further issues, please do not hesitate to share them with the community for continued support.
