Galaxy Z
Hi, good day everyone! Hope all is well... for those using the Galaxy Z Fold 5, how do you like it? Im almost in 1 year using this fold, and I'm liking it as the days go by. Honestly, at first there's an amazement using the fold for the first time because of the folding screen, but as you keep using it, it's kinda normal now.

During the first month of using it, i find the outside screen too small to use, to view, or to type and difficult to use it on rush text messaging coz it's better to type when the fold is unfolded. But don't get me wrong, using this unfolded is so good.

The wide work space, the wide view when streaming, the multi task, is superb. And with the latest AI UPDATES, WOW... the writing style, the photo and video AI features and etc I'm really loving it.

Now, about the crease, hmmm what's that? Lol.. honestly I'm use to it, as if it's normal, video streaming is not a problem, you'll not notice it until you wanna notice it.

Improvements? A lot..

1. specially on the outside screen, it's small when folded yes it's handy but hard to type, i guess im use to the screen size of the S series phones.

2. In-screen camera, i think it needs more technological improvement as i find it wash out or blurry, so i always use the main camera's for selfies.

3. The main cameras, they're really good, but comparing it to my s23 ultra, the s series cameras are better.

4. S-Pen, can't say anything bad as you can write using spen on a foldable screen which gives you a wider workspace. I love using it, but i hope i can use the screen off memo when the screen is folded the same thing i use i s series phones, as soon as you take out the pen, the screen off memo pops up, not on this phone. And also i hope the spen can be stored in the phone not on the case. It is really a great feature to have.
Now, do i recommend this phone? Yes, it's good to have and to use. And for future foldable phones i think there will be more upgrades, like wider screen and bigger camera hardwares.

As for the price, i hope it can still be lowered down, or more promotions and good trade options in Canada on the new Galaxy Z fold 6.

That's it for me, hope you guys have a wonderful day today.

God bless..

Good point about the small outer screen. My F5 is collecting dust because the front screen is too cumbersome to use for me and I don't want to unfold it in every situation, but it's wonderful for watching videos and content when I can unfold it. Hopefully the F6 has a far more usable outer screen and is thinner when folded like other brands.

Fold5 user. About four months in. No crease noticeable for me.

Front lock screen size - I use s pen.

The only issue is weight. It's the heaviest phone in existence, I think.

Fold 6 rumors are said to have a slightly wider front screen. Not as wide as a regular phone yet but a little wider still. I do understand why samsung doesn't want to make the front screen too wide because then when you unfold the screen, you get a weird square aspect ratio. Instead of having the slightly taller aspect ratio that the folds have now.

I bought the oneplus open and played with it a little. While the front screen was nice because it was as wide as a regular phone, the unfolded experience was not that good. There's basically no apps at all that is optimized for a square screen.

They also said they would reduce the weight so that's good.

But sadly, the camera hardware are said to remain exactly the same. That's a shame.

And if I remember correctly, you get a guaranteed 1000$ trade in value for the Fold5 if you trade it in for the Fold6.

I sold my Fold5 and I'm using the S24 Ultra. I do miss my fold a bit but for the money we pay for folds, I need it to have better hardware.

Plus I find that the S24 Ultra's screen is already big enough for most tasks lol. I only do really miss the flex mode though.
