Galaxy ZDon't know if the Samsung Members Diagnostics has been updated for your device, but the first thing that I would do after a Reboot, would be to open Samsung Members app & Click on "Get Help" bottom right of the screen & run the Diagnostics for the touch screen(s), see if you get any errors.
I've experienced a loss of touch sensitivity on one of my previous Samsung devices, & I tried several different things, before contemplating visiting a Samsung Service center.
Wiping cache from Recovery, never hurts, but you will probably end up having to backup your device with Smart Switch & Factory Reset.. At least that's what ultimately solved the similar issue for me.
A couple of people have commented that I, along with some others, seem to suggest a Factory Reset fairly frequently, but the reality is, that in many cases, hardware issues aside, a Factory Reset is often the best / only solution.
It's extremely unlikely that it's an issue with the update itself.

Galaxy ZI connected some dots and found the issue.
I have ( now had) an app that shows the remaining battery as a circle around the selfie cam. The update didn't play nice with that app and made it hog all screen real estate north of the selfie cam.
While you are technically correct, the issue is not with the update itself, the issue was directly brought by the update
The problematic app is Energy ring - Universal edition
Thanks
