I currently have a Z fold 4 and Planing to upgrade.
I really loved the fold series, the only issue I have with this series is that it's very fragile, I have to be very careful with the phone (one time I took it to the beach and sand went into this hinge, the phone stopped unfolding completely, it got stuck in the middle, I had warranty so it didn't cost me anything but the repair cost was around $980), also the cameras are not as good as the S series. And not add the S pen
That is why I want to upgrade to S24 Ultra. But the trading value is $350, for the phone which I paid almost $3,000, which is absurd.
I'm getting a very good deal with the new Ford 6. My phone trading value is $1,000 and my watch 5 pro trading is $300.
So with all the discounts and trade In, I'm getting a new Fold 6, 512G, Watch Ultra, buds 3 pro, 2 year Samsung care for both the watch and the fold. ( + Buds 3 free with voucher) and a Samsung tag 2 for around $2,200. Approx $90/month for 2 years. But there is no camera upgrades!!!!!!!! Which is so stupid.
don't get fold 6 it is a very minor update. Even s24 is not performing that well in the camera department. it has ancient sensors. If you can wait, i would say wait for the s25 series. They are going to update the camera and all. Samsung always throws deals during the pre-order period.
Better to wait for next iteration if you are looking for a better upgrade. If you must fold 6 sounds better deal for you, or sell your s24 ultra on third party site for higher.
Samsung Z Fold 6 and Galaxy S24 Ultra both are two very different phones. If you like the foldable devices you can upgrade to the Z Fold 6. It offers multitasking option with splendid split screen modes to media consumption.
However, the Galaxy S24 Ultra offers a built in S Pen, to split screen and multitasking too. The screen size is also big enough for media consumption and also had a better cameras and battery life.
