I recently bought this 32" UHD monitor https://www.samsung.com/ca/monitors/high-resolution/uhd-16-9-flat-monitor-32-inch-lu32j590uqnxza/

Wondering if anyone out there knows how to change the input source between HDMI 1 & HDMI 2 via DDC/CI?

I tinkered with it in Better Display for Mac and controlmymonitor for Windows, and found that DDC/CI only seems to work from the laptop connected to HDMI 1.

In general, the DDC/CI support seems very spotty and broken. I could set the input source to HDMI 1 by assigning a value of 5 to the input select VCP code, and that works fine. However, when I set a value of 6 to the input select VCP code, the monitor does switch to HDMI 2, but then shows a static filled screen. This problem does not occur when using the physical button to switch inputs.

I find it very annoying to have to constantly switch back and forth between input sources using the physical button on the back of the monitor.

My old Dell monitor had great DDC/CI support. It just worked. It's really a shame that this feature is so broken on my new Samsung monitors.

This is a little old, but I've found samsung support for ddc/ci to be pretty messed up as well. I have a U28E510 that accepts the command to switch to display port, but refuses to accept commands to switch to any other inputs.
