Apparently the motherboard replacement from Samsung isn't free but it's about the same price as a new MB, but without the risks (fake, incompatible, risk while doing the actual replacement...). That's cheaper than buying a new phone and definitely a good environmental action. Because it doesn't seem like an ideal plan to prevent deep sleep (so less battery life) forever. If it was just me, I'd do it right away and maybe get the battery replaced (and also a quote on a screen replacement), essentially getting a brand new phone again
