OthersSamsung Range NE58F9710WS/AC
Recently, while doing some baking for Christmas we noticed that the broiler element came on during the bake cycle and was red hot causing a small fire which was quickly put out but there was smoke everywhere inside the house.
I went to the U.S. forum and noticed that I am the fourth person in the past week that has complained about this very same issue. These are the people who have taken the time to search on the web and then actually make a report. It makes me wonder how many other people this is happening too that have not bothered to make a report.
Every report has been responded to by a Moderator who requests the user to send a Private Message which is great but there is no follow up for us to read what the solution to the problem is??
I would like to know and I am sure others with this problem would like to know if this is a known problem with a particular "part" that is faulty or if there is a simple fix??
I was directed by the US Samsung moderator to visit this Canadian site for assistance but I see most people posting about oven problems are told to call Samsung Technical department.
I was just wondering if anyone reading this have had the same problem and then had it fixed, can you please advise what the solution was? Faulty part that needed replacing?
This is obviously a known problem or issue within the Samsung community as there have been so many people reporting the same issue across other models of Samsung ovens regardless if they are US or Canadian models.
Please help,
Thank you,

OthersHello Pistoly,
The same exact thing happened to me this Christmas 2023. At approximately 7:30pm Christmas night I was going to make dinner, I had prepared the dish to place in the oven. I push the bake touchscreen button on my Samsung duo electric range to preheat the oven to 300 degrees. I bake every day for my small business making cookies for over 5 years with the same routine every time. Turning on the bake section for the pre-heat, remove mold in the oven waiting for the ding sound to indicate the oven is at the correct temperature. After hitting the start button I opened the oven door to remove the cookie molds, they were already on fire with flames blazing. I closed the oven door as quickly as I could so the blaze would not catch my kitchen on fire. I could not stop the flames because every time I opened the oven door the flames rose. I am disabled and could not hold the oven door open and use the fire extinguisher at the same time. There was so much smoke everywhere throughout my house, I could not breathe it took three hours for the smoke to go away. I had to go outside several times in the freezing rain and cold just to catch my breath enough to come back into the house to shut the main breaker off for the stove, to let it smother itself out. This is a major problem with faulty elements that Samsung will not take responsibility for if this range has a malfunction. This incident was traumatic for me, living alone with limited mobility my house almost caught on fire because of this malfunction. I contacted Samsung just to wait 10 days with no way to prepare any meal stove top or oven for a service technician to come out to my home to evaluate the range. The tech contacted Samsung specialty department via video. Samsung specialty department stated this was customer neglect not a faulty element. The tech never checked anything on the stove, oven or the panel. The specialty dept asked if I ever had my duo range service before, I answered yes, it was serviced by a Samsung tech for an issue in the control panel. His exact words to the tech pack up your thing there is nothing we can do about this, this ticket being closed. If it was not for my swift thinking of shutting off the main breaker I would be a disabled homeless woman with nowhere to live right now. "Shame on you Samsung"!! I have so many Samsung products, from phones, earbuds, tables, microwaves, refrigerators, freezer, dehydrator etc . I will never buy another Samsung product again in life

OthersI had the same exact issue while baking cookies on Christmas Eve 2023.
The oven was selected on bake mode at the time. The cookies were removed from the oven and put back in. Approximately 2 minutes thereafter, smoke was noticed coming from the oven. The moment I opened the oven door, flames came out of the oven. The stove was on fire. I immediately grabbed the fire extinguisher and made a pass at the flames. It took a couple of passes before the fire was out. Clean up took hours as you can imagine and everything that was baked already and cooling on the counter had to all be thrown away due to the fire extinguisher residue.
Samsung Customer Service was notified of this and approximately 10 days later a technician arrived at my home.
The first issue was that the technician didn’t know that the oven door had a lock feature and I had to show him how to open the door.

OthersI also have this issue now, I called and like everyone else, the warranty is out and the fix will be out of pocket. I mentioned this thread and that I believe it is at minimum of 3 years running. Clearly, they have an issue. Has anyone had it fixed and was the cost worth it or is replacement the better option.

OthersI’ve had my Samsung range for exactly 5 years. The pass week we cannot use our oven. The exact same thing has been happening. I put it on 350 was fine while preheating. when oven was preheated I put the food in. Put timer on for 20 mins. ( Which was a good thing) when the timer went off my food was burnt to a crisp. The fire alarm started going off. This is definitely a fire hazard. Samsung should be mad accountable for this problem.

OthersIt's Easter Sunday and the ham is charred! The broiler turned on all by itself exactly as all the other posts. Happy Easter and I guess I should call a Samsung Technician? What is that phone number?

OthersThe Samsung NE58K9850WS/AA-00 dual range, now around 8 years old, has experienced several issues. Initially, the main burner required replacement due to a malfunctioning coil. Additionally, the front control knob needed repair. Currently, the broiler activates automatically when the oven temperature exceeds 350°F, even after replacing the relay control board.
The broiler malfunction poses a significant safety risk. Fortunately, we detected the issue early when we noticed the smell of burning food. However, if left unattended, it could have led to a fire.
It's concerning that the Samsung website appears to serve primarily as a platform for users to share negative experiences with their appliances. If Samsung monitors this platform, urgent action should be taken to rectify this potentially hazardous issue before any serious consequences occur.
As someone responsible for Quality and Safety in a large manufacturing company, I understand the importance of assessing defects for potential harm to customers. This isn't merely a matter of the stove's functionality but rather its potential to cause property damage and harm individuals.

OthersWe have an induction range. Nothing wrong with the induction burner but the oven is doing the incineration thing like with so many others. It happened for the first time in 8 years while making Mother's Day dinner, destroying my herbed baby potatoes. Even after it cooled down I couldn't get any controls to work. Eventually, I shut off the power at the breaker, waited about 30 seconds, and turned it back on and it seemed fine. I cautiously tried a few small baking tasks and, voila!, seemed back to normal. Then when I tried a large batch of pecan praline bars it burned the hell out of 'em. The setting was 350 F but at some point the broiler came on with a vengeance. As someone said, "cremation" mode.
At least ours is 8 years old. Many commenters had recent models. This indicates it's a design fault with Samsung ovens. I hope Samsung will do something for victims of this known flaw.

OthersSame problem we have. Our range is 5 years old, it has worked fine until a month ago and then it turned the broil element on in the middle of a baking cycle burning the cookies. Over the last couple weeks the oven broiler has randomly turned on while baking. It seems to be happening more frequently. You can’t trust it to be left alone since it only takes a couple minutes for the broil element to burn whats ever in there black
We bought four Samsung appliances when we reno’d our kitchen, fortunately with the extended warranty. The dishwasher and fridge both had multiple unsuccessful service calls and we were paid out and replaced them (not with Samsung). Now the range is acting up and out of warranty. I won’t throw good money away trying to fix this range.
