OthersIn terms of performance, nothing, but in terms of the Battery, the thinking is that Dark Mode uses less Battery than Light Mode.
The reasoning behind it is that Dark Mode is that black pixels use less energy.

OthersNot as much of a difference on LCD screens.
It also depends on the Brightness level you use, the Brighter the screen, the more benefit of Dark Mode.
Any apps that I have, if there's a dark or black option, I use that.

OthersHi Anderson199214,
Great question! The real difference between Dark Mode and Light Mode, especially in terms of performance and battery life on your Galaxy device.
Dark Mode. Battery Saving: On phones with AMOLED displays. Dark Mode can help save battery. Pixels showing black are actually off, which reduces power usage especially if you use your phone a lot or leave the screen on for longer.
Eye Comfort: Easier on the eyes in low-light environments. Reduces eye strain, especially at night.
Less Blue Light: Helps minimize sleep disruption when used at night.
Light Mode. Visibility: Can be easier to read in bright daylight or well-lit environments.
Consistency: Some apps and content still display better in Light Mode depending on their design.
No major performance difference between the two. Both modes run equally well on modern Galaxy devices like the S24 Ultra. Dark Mode may feel a little snappier for some users simply because darker UIs can appear smoother visually.
Try switching based on your environment or schedule Dark Mode to turn on at sunset via: Settings > Display > Dark mode settings > Turn on as scheduled.
Thank you.
