That's it. That's the post.

As Pixel UI and iOS become more fluid and playful, One UI is stale and lifeless. The weather app/widget are the only parts of One UI that are visually pleasing and enjoyable to interact with, and I'm getting very annoyed with the lack of attention Samsung is giving its software.

I'm not expecting big changes with One UI 6, but I'm hoping to be surprised. If One UI 6 is yet another minor update and One UI 7 doesn't make any big changes either, I'll be leaving the Samsung ecosystem for something more fun to use.

Galaxy device hardware is fantastic, but the software drags it down. Mobile technology peaked years ago and software needs to recieve more attention.

One UI is a user interface developed by Samsung for its mobile devices. While I don't have access to the latest information beyond my knowledge cutoff in September 2021, I can provide some insights based on what was known at that time.

One UI was initially introduced in 2018 as a replacement for Samsung's previous user interface called TouchWiz. It aimed to provide a more streamlined and user-friendly experience, particularly for large-screen devices. Since its introduction, Samsung has made incremental updates for templates and improvements to One UI with each new device release and software update.
