I had a software update Aug 30 & since I've had multiple issues w my phone. Idk how to fix it - I'm not tech savvy.
I used to open my phone and when I had new text message a little orange/red colored number would be right there onto of the message app icon. Now it does not. I didn't know I had new messages till for some reason I pulled my screen down from the top and under notifications there they all were. But nothing appeared when I opened my phone and looked at the screen like I had in the past. ** If I was able to clearly explain the problem then please include any and all phone calls also bc im getting no number on my phone icon,my phone won't ring,and the only way I know I had a phone call is to drag my screen down and view notifications that way. I hope this was clear bc I dont know the proper wording for this tech stuff. Thanks so much.
It sounds like notification settings were affected by the recent update. Please try the below steps to fix the missing notification badges and the ringing issue.
Turn on App icon badges in Settings > Notifications > Advanced settings. Check sound settings under Sounds and vibration to ensure Sound is selected, and make sure Do Not Disturb is off. Verify notifications for your Messages and Phone apps in Settings > Apps.
